Coastal sightseeing

Enjoy views over some of Britain's highest sea cliffs by car or motorbike. Take the A39 from Minehead towards Lynmouth, past the beautiful village of Allerford and Porlock, up onto Porlock Hill - with the road ascending 400 meters in less than 3 kilometres, and enjoy the breath-taking views on top of the hills with the Bristol Channel and Wales on your right and the sweeping Exmoor hills on your left. If you wish to see Exmoor wild ponies, the most likely spot to see them is at Countisbury, before descending into Lynmouth.

This highly recommended drive takes you approximately 45 minutes one way - depending on how many times you stop for photographs.
